that goes without saying...I've listened to preachers that are expert in those languages, such as the late Dr Gene Scott...and to my heart(Spirit). Has any type of "god" spoken to your heart? I'm not going to argue on atheism though. By the way, tithing is a part of Christianity as well as love, forgiveness and tolerance.
Too many phony's give many religions a bad name.
You either live it or not.

well I agree with you on living it, that's for sure. The thing about Christianity today is they seem to have forsaken the poor in exchange for selfrighteousness.

My Mom made me go to Bible school when I was a kid. I gurantee you thatI know more about the Bible than most people I know that claim to be Christians.

Pro choice means you aren't a true Christian? Hmm, better pass that along and see how many women leave on Sunday. Abortion os murder. Right. Let's let all those unwanted foetii grow up without love so that they can be shipped ti Iraq or executed for their crimes.

you betcha! In true Christianity, your body is a temple of the Lord and not your own. You are in Christ and Christ is in you. Btw, I'm not saying I'm Christian-or not. God only knows my heart. A good book to read is Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mere_Christianity

well...technically rasta did not say thou shall not be pro choice. I know a few Christians who are pro choice, but would never have an abortion themselves. They just think it's better if at least some abortions (but usually not Partial Birth Abortion) are legally available just to keep women from getting back-alley abortions.

Personally, I'm not sure where I stand. Very complicated issue. I think abortion is very wrong, but I'm not sure it should be illegal.

It's perhaps the most complicated issue we face--We! It's a woman's body. I agree that not all Christians agree with zero abortion. I took exception to Rasta's belief that all good Christian's feel abortion is wrong.

To me, abortion is a VERY uncomplicated issue. What parent would not sacrifice their life for their children? If I were a woman, and it was me or my unborn (or born) child, the child would live. That is love.

what are you saying, dire? A true Christian would abort their son or daughter from somehow looking into the future?
I cannot see the future and with God, all things are possible. There are a lot of great people alive that were born of even rape or had bad early lives and God, turned their lives around. Some did'nt, but we all have free will to chose good or evil. On a personal level, I can say I'm this or that, but God only knows my heart. To me, Christianity is one day at a time and a battle of my free will and Gods will in my life.
It sure aint easy!
